1. Neighbourhood of Vegueta

One of the most important places in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is the well-known neighbourhood of Vegueta, where we can find several places that, without a doubt, must be visited.

2. Cueva Pintada de Gáldar

The magic of the past of the aborigines who lived in Gran Canaria is captured in the Cueva Pintada, located in the municipality of Gáldar, where you can see one of the most important archaeological sites in the Canary Islands.

3. Teror

Thirdly, we have the picturesque village of Teror, known above all for the Virgen del Pino. For those who want to get away from the coast and the crowds, it is a great place to disconnect, as it is located in the countryside.


On Sundays you can also enjoy its famous street market, which stands out for the sale of Canarian products and the incredible atmosphere that is created.

4. Arucas

We now take you to the north of the island, where the municipality of Arucas is located, to invite you to visit the church of Juan Bautista, which looks like something out of a fairy tale.

For nature lovers there is also a little place in this municipality where you will find the Arucas Park with 10,000 square metres of fresh air and beautiful Canarian fauna.

5. Cenobio de Valerón

Finally, we move on to the municipality of Guía where we can find another archaeological park where you can enjoy a collective granary built by the aborigines themselves.

It consists of a set of caves at different levels built with wood and stone on volcanic mountains and used, above all, to preserve crops.

Enjoy the pintaderas (ancient Canarian paintings), ceramics, human bones and ashes that you will find in this place that will take you back in time.
