Gran Canaria is one of the places chosen by thousands of tourists every year thanks to its good climate, beaches and landscapes. Bathers who want to enjoy the sand and sea naked can do so on most beaches.

The 10 best nudist beaches in Gran Canaria

Below, we have created a list of some of the best beaches where nudism is allowed on the island of Gran Canaria, collected by the Spanish Naturist Federation.

Playa del Inglés and Playa de Maspalomas

Located in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, with an area of 2,700 meters long and 50 meters wide, are beaches of fine sand and blonde. The waves are moderate and both beaches have a lifeguard.

Careful, not all the beach in Maspalomas is nudist. The nudist area in this beach is located in the chiringuito three and four. As in Playa del Inglés, you will enjoy calm waters and comfortable sand.

As it is the continuation of the Playa del Inglés it is very similar to the above mentioned. The truth is that there is a greater concentration of naturism fans on this beach. The wonderful Dunes of Maspalomas together with their blond sand and crystal clear waters, make the beach a paradise.

Playa de Las Mujeres (Women’s Beach)

In the extension of Paseo de Maspalomas we find this beach. This is another remote beach where you can practice nudism while enjoying tranquility, the beach has an extension of 520 meters long and 25 meters wide. Its sand is dark as it comes from volcanic gravel and the waves of this beach is moderate and has no lifeguard

Its swell allows you to have fun surfing or bodyboarding, always with caution since you will not find any lifeguard in the area. In addition, access is by car, which will be left in a parking lot and then enter the beach by a rocky road. It is a good place to enjoy on very hot days, as its large stones allow you to rest on shadows.

Montaña de Arena Beach

This is a virgin beach further away from the tourist developments. It is 250 metres long and 60 metres wide of dark sand and has no lifeguard. There are no services near the coast line of this beach, so it is important to bring everything you may need.

Playa de Veneguera

In the town of Mogán we find this beach 370 meters long and 35 meters wide. It is a beach with quite calm and clean waters for swimming, it is a beach of rounded stones, sand and gravel in which there is no lifeguard service.

Like most of the beaches on this list, it is located far from the city, so there are no services around it either. Here you can practice nudism while you take a bath in its calm waters, the natural landscape around it helps you enjoy your stay there twice as much. It is common to see people fishing and diving on this beach, as its seabed is full of life. This beach can be reached on foot or by car.

Tasartico Beach

Located in the village of San Nicolás, this beach is made up of pebbles and gravel. It is an ideal beach if you are not looking for strong waves and instead prefer a beach with calm waters. There aren’t many people because they are a bit far away, but there are days when there are more people than usual.

It does not have lifeguards, but being a quiet beach will not make you worry about possible risks. The campsite near this beach is also a plus, since it will allow you to spend a whole day, without thinking about the time you would have to return.

Güi-Güi Beach

This beach is perhaps the most isolated and difficult to access on the island. 360 meters long and 25 meters wide, it is a beach of fine dark sand. It is considered one of the most paradisiacal spots on the island, and it is advisable to go when the heat is not too strong as the trail is not easy.

The only problem with this beach is its access, you will have to prepare yourself for a long walk, since it is impossible to enter it by car. Another possibility is to rent a boat trip from the port of Mogán, to get closer to the beach.

Tiritaña Beach

Tiritaña Beach is one of those places where you can breathe tranquility while enjoying one of the best natural views of the sea and the island. The best thing about this beach is that there are very few people, since it is a beach isolated from any city and without any kind of services.

Although it does have a public transport stop. In addition, its moderate swell next to the rocks that surround the beach can create some very funny pools, always being very careful because there are no lifeguards in the area.

Playa de Las Salinas

Located in the municipality of Arucas just two kilometers from the center of Agaete, this northern beach offers a totally different type of beach from others, forming its landscape mostly rocks. What makes it great are the rocks that protrude from the water forming a series of small islands that are ideal for enjoying the sea and the sun.

It is a small beach where hardly any people pass by, so it is perfect for practicing nudism thanks to its intimacy, especially if you are one of those people who is still a little embarrassed to practice it. The only problem with this beach is the heavy swell.

Guayedra Beach

Last but not least, we are at one of the beaches that offers one of the best views of its surroundings, with its mountains all around. Guayedra beach is one of the favorite places to practice nudism or naturism by its practitioners for its crystal clear waters and the tranquility it offers.

The swell on this beach is usually quite strong. But you have to take into account that, as in most of the hidden beaches of Gran Canaria, you do not have a lifeguard, so you have to be very careful. The only problem with this beach is on days when there is a lot of wind or when the tide is very high, which covers all the sand on the beach and the only area you can be in is the part of the beach that is made up of stones.
